Nutritional Support
We know that constantly figuring out what to make or order for meals is a difficult task. The mental load combined with the energy it takes to source ingredients and then cook a meal can make feeding yourself a difficult task. We offer many options to help relieve the stress that can come from mealtime. All options listed below are available with Daytime Support. You are able to customize your support by choosing the options that serve you best.

Grocery Shopping
The newborn stage can be overwhelming. For some, a quick trip to the grocery store can relieve stress and help you feel connected to the world outside of your newborn bubble, but for others it can be a daunting task that they just don’t have time for.
Every family we support receives a customized meal plan and shopping list to prepare for the week. After receiving the list you have a few options. You can head to the grocery store, order groceries to be delivered, or leave it to us.
If you choose to leave it up to us, we’ll head to the store before coming over for the day, put away the groceries upon arrival, then start the day together.

Fresh Meal Prep
Most of the meals we provide for you fall into this category. We prepare nutrient dense home-cooked meals from scratch with high quality whole foods to aid in your healing. You get to spend time resting, bonding with your baby or partner, or taking care of your needs while we take care of your meals.
Families that we support get access to our menus which feature a wide variety of meals to choose from. A standard 8 hour day of support can include breakfast, lunch, and dinner plus snacks depending on your needs. A sample meal plan and schedule are provided to prospective clients to give you an idea of what support would look like with three meals provided.

Frozen Meal Prep
There are days where your doula will not be with you, but that doesn’t mean that you are on your own. We can provide a selection of meals for the freezer to help make meal times easier while we are away.
You can choose from fully frozen meals (like lasagna and pot pie that are easily reheated in the oven), or meals with frozen components (like a ragù that can be reheated on the stove while you take 10 minutes to make fresh pasta).
Many recipes that we don’t have on the Frozen Meal Prep menu can be adapted for the freezer, but may require more time to prepare than the meals designed for Freezer Meal Prep.

Pantry Meal Prep
We aim to set you up for success long after we are gone. Freezer meals are a great option for the time that we are together, but as we transition into spending less time together in preparation for our departure the focus shifts. We will start to focus on making sure that you are well prepared for your time alone with your newly expanded family.
Part of this, is stocking your pantry with mixes that are easy to cook and grab-and-go snacks. Pantry mixes range from pancake mix to dry pasta mixes and are shelf stable for up to a year. All pantry meals come together quickly with just a few fresh ingredients and have measurements and directions included. A separate menu for these mixes is available upon request.
