Hello! My name is Taya Ingram. I’m a Postpartum Doula and owner of Handle With Care Doula Services. I was born and raised in California, went to California State University Monterey Bay to study Early Childhood Development and Education in 2016, and moved to Massachusetts in June 2021 to start my Family.

For as long as I can remember I have been fascinated by the beautiful intricacies of pregnancy and birth. In my younger years, I had the idea of venturing into neonatal nursing as a career. As I developed through education and life experiences, I began to see the benefits of exploring a career where I could learn more about the mother-baby or parent-baby connection. With those intentions, I worked as a nanny and a nature preschool teacher for a while, but as much as I loved what I was doing I didn’t feel completely fulfilled. It wasn’t until I discovered Doula work that I felt I had finally found my purpose.

I realized that mothers needed better advocacy, support, and care for the entirety of their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum stages. Being able to educate families about their options and helping them feel empowered to get the care they need and deserve has been one of the most amazing and fulfilling experiences of my life.

My goal as a Doula is to enrich lives by helping the families in my care feel prepared and confident going into birth; preparing you for a more intimate parenting experience after my departure. The idea of lessening the stress associated with those first critical moments of bonding is what motivates me toward a successful experience with each family. Individually designed care plans allow us to work together to quiet the often hectic days and provide a sense calm during those first restless nights after bringing baby home. I look forward to being your personal guide as you settle into the wonderful transition of adding a bundle of joy to your family.
